A one-day training program for MegSURE project staff was organized by the Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) on 4 February 2026 at the MegLIFE Office, Shillong, Meghalaya. The program commenced with the inaugural address by the Executive Director MBDA & Additional Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Shri Gawade Sachin Shankar, IFS. This was followed by a lecture on the “Role of Geology in Springshed Management” delivered by Co-PI, Dr. Gaurav Singh. The session concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Fettleman Dohling, AGM, MBDA. The training was designed as an interactive, cross-departmental learning platform, where each department delivered focused presentations on their key functions, goals, and ongoing initiatives. The session fostered a deeper understanding of organizational roles, strengthened interdepartmental communication, and equipped staff with practical knowledge to support integrated workflows across MBDA, which will help the MegSURE staff effectively in achieving the objectives of the project.
